This gives it a distinct sound involving FM synthesis, specifically up to 9 channels at once, or 6 if percussion is being used.įrom what I've heard, I find that a lot of music from classic NES games don't fare too well across ports. This particular soundtrack makes use of an audio peripheral known as 'MSX Music', or the Yamaha YM2413 OPLL soundchip.
